Painted Buffalo is an unusual and gorgeous chert from a small area in Tennessee. It typically doesn’t occur in large chunks, so when I can create a 5 inch point with color and pattern like this one has, I’m happy, happy, happy! I decided to knap a monster Elko point ….. becasue I like monster Elko points!
