Description
This 5.5 inch Scottsbluff point is knapped from a piece of banded Ocean Wave Agate, from Madagascar, which has some gorgeous colors and translucency. I’m sure the Paleo Scottsbluff people would have loved this material for their points and blades, but surely didn’t have a trade source in Madagascar. I’m always hoping that more of this wild material will be found, but unfortuneately it was mined out years ago. I’m perhaps the only knapper who is fortunate enough to still have some of this rock in my stash!
