Flint Knapped Arrowheads

Handmade Flint Knapped Arrowheads and Spear Points made from agate, jasper, obsidian, opal and more. Expert flintknapper Mike Cook makes arrowheads and spearpoints using the same ancient techniques of the stone age. Clovis, Scottsbluff, Dovetail, E-notch, Cahokia – These are a few of the names given blades and flint knapped arrowheads that were used in North America throughout the stone age. A certain amount of mystery surround each arrowhead. How and where did the many flint knapped arrowhead types originate and why? Why do some point types show a consistently high degree of flintknapping skill, even art, while other are decidedly crude by comparison?

The answers to many questions remain elusive. One thing is clear. Modern flintknappers like myself are compelled by that mystery. I am particularly enthralled by creating opal jewelry points from the most beautiful, gem quality stone in the world. What you see on this page is actually a collection of my work from the last several years. It represents hundreds and hundreds of hours of work. It also represents the very best material culled from literally tons of stone. Flint Knapped Arrowheads and Spear Points are all unique. Enjoy the natural beauty of rocks that only God could create.
