3-18-08  Michigan Flintknappers Spring Knap-in coming soon.  Sunday, April 6 you are invited to attend our spring knap-in at the Chelsea Rod and Gun Club.  At least a dozen knappers will be busting rock and showing off their stuff, a well as the atl atl guys throwing spears.  All are welcome, including the kids.  Shoot me an e-mail if you need directions.

6-14-08  I'll be at Cranbrook Institute of Science in Detroit on Saturday, the 14th, giving a one day flintknapping demo.  I will be demonstrating various stages of biface production using percussion and pressure flaking.  Exhibits will include raw and heat-treated flint samples, including many types of lithic materials used by prehistoric North Americans.

Labor Day Weekend -- Flint Ridge, Ohio, 2008 Knap-In -- Friday thru Sunday.  This is one of the best knap-ins of the year.  There will be knappers, rocks and points for sale, and just lots of good folks and fun.  E-mail if you would like more info.  Hope to see you there.
