NEW ROCK!    I have acquired some new material from Madagascar which I named Black Lagoon Jasper.  It was a small deposit and I was able to buy it all.  This is unique material that you will see no where else, characterized by a stark blending of black and tan with occasional bands of red or white sneaking in.  It makes a striking point.  See if you can pick some out that are now appearing among the other points on my website.

WOLVERINE KNIFE COLLECTORS SHOW  The weekend of Feb. 6-7 I attended the 2010 Wolverine Knife Collectors Show in Novi, Michigan.  it was fun and good to see old friends and I received an unexpected honor.  The WKCC gave me the award for Best Custom Art Knife of this years show.  It really is an honor.  You can see the Mammoth Rib knife that won it on my Knives Page.

2010 FLINTKNAPPING WORKSHOP  The 2010 workshop was a bunch of fun and a big success I think.  I had a great bunch of students.  Matt, Dennis, Steve, Moira, Rich and Cullen absorbed a lot of what I threw at them and I was impressed with the advancement they showed in only a couple of days.  If you are interested in attending next summers workshop, shoot me an e-mail and I will get you the info as soon as I get it scheduled.

FLINT RIDGE   The weekend of Labor Day is the great Flint Ridge, Ohio Knap-In.  If you only take in one knap-in a year, this is the one to attend.  Will I be there?  Dang right.  Hope to see you there.
