Clovis, Scottsbluff, Dovetail, E-notch, Cahokia - These are a few of the names given blades and points that were used in North America throughout the stone age. A certain amount of mystery surrounds each. How and where did the many point types originate and why? Why do some point types show a consistently high degree of flintknapping skill, even art, while other are decidedly crude by comparison?
The answers to many questions remain elusive. One thing is clear. Modern flintknappers like myself are compelled by that mystery. I am particularly enthralled by creating points from the most beautiful, gem quality stone in the world. What you see on this page is actually a collection of my work from the last several years. It represents hundreds and hundreds of hours of work. It also represents the very best material culled from literally tons of stone. Each point is unique.
