Projectile Points

     Clovis, Scottsbluff, Dovetail, E-notch, Cahokia - These are a few of the names given blades and points that were used in North America throughout the stone age.  A certain amount of mystery surrounds each.  How and where did the many point types originate and why?  Why do some point types show a consistently high degree of flintknapping skill, even art, while other are decidedly crude by comparison?
     The answers to many questions remain elusive.  One thing is clear.  Prehistoric people highly prized colorful, exotic stone and that appreciation for beauty is a wonderful connection to the past for all people today.  For a flintknapper, replicating points and blades with the same tools and materials as used in prehistory is a special connection.  He works to exhort faint whispers from the fracturing stone.
     Feel a replica of prehistory in your hand and let it touch you.  Look at it time and time again.  Perhaps it will whisper to you.

Projectile Point replicas begin at $20.  {Custom work is available upon request.}
